1977 Corvette internally regulated altenator, which wire goes where?

Thought since the connector only goes in the plug one way I couldn’t mess it up. But the wires slipped out of the white connector. On my 77 Corvette, which wire (red or brown) goes into terminal 1 on the back edge of the altenator?
