Thought since the connector only goes in the plug one way I couldn’t mess it up. But the wires slipped out of the white connector. On my 77 Corvette, which wire (red or brown) goes into terminal 1 on the back edge of the altenator?

Ian Williamson asked:

Thinking of getting attention? Do you crave the feeling of being noticed and looked at because of the car that you are driving? Do want the feel of masculinity and the allure it exudes? Then getting a nice sports car for you might be a good start. So what are your options? You can check out muscle cars, exotic super cars, and tricked out roadsters. Two cars will be elaborated on here because of each car’s well known reputation as macho machines and chick magnets. The Ferrari Modena 360 and the Chevrolet Corvette.

The Ferrari Modena 360

The Modena is a top of the line sports car that matches an aggressive design with comfort and performance. Keep in mind that this beauty is not a conventional car in the sense that it is simply not used to go and get the groceries at the store or to pick up the kids from school. It is a pleasure machine made to attract attention and induce oohs and aahs from the crowd. It is a weekend car to be driven with utmost adrenaline and fun as the main goal. And for a thrilling weekend drive, this car will cost you around $150,000. Sure, you can use it to get your groceries or pick up your kid albeit quickly. But as they say, you buy it because you can and because women will be attracted to you if you happen to have one. Despite everything, this Ferrari can be considered to be grounded by comfort and practicality as much as possible. Unlike some models, Ferrari made certain to focus on things like ergonomics, interiors, and transmission which make it very usable even for daily drives.

The Chevrolet Corvette

The current Corvette or C6 as it is called since it is the model’s sixth reincarnation, has new styling. It has exposed headlamps and a slimmer body. It boasts of improved performance, handling, comfort, and refinement. It is a sports car that drivers will find easy to handle both on the road and the race track. If you are testing your limits at the track or just having fun driving around town, the new Corvette is forgiving even when driven really hard. Its six-cylinder engine is capable of powerful acceleration and is comparable to that of a Ferrari Modena. The new Corvette is lighter than its predecessor.

Having a sports car may get you more dates than before but it also means spending more for maintenance and service parts not to mention its fuel consumption. It has little space for extra persons but if you are going on a date then this will do the trick.

What I mean by that is, is this car too much to handle for driving back and forth to work or something? I know it has a 500 hp engine and Ive heard different things from several people. Some say its a blast, while others say its just too much for them. Whats your opinion, and why?

Or do you think I would be better off with just the corvette coupe?

*oh and im looking at 2007 styles, not 2006*

Any imput would be greatly appreciated! thank you!

Frank Collins asked:

The most powerful production car made is the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Moreover, it is American-made and is able to beat Ferrari’s and Lamborghinis. This $105,000, 2009 Corvette has a 638-horsepower motor which gives off an aura to those around it. The zero-to-60 time achieved in 3.4 seconds beats the $1 million Ferrari Enzo. The Vette’s rear brakes are similar to those on a $1.6 million Bugatti Veyron. Many onlookers do not often know the performance because it resembles its’ humbler regular coupe version. However, once you drive it, you will know the difference right away. It is a super exotic car that masks itself with Chevy’s bodywork.

Besides it being very recognizable, not much is shared with its basic cousin unless it is the interior, engine block and springs. Most noticeably, is the supercharger on the hood. On the outside, the ZR1 utilizes the 2006 Z06 body casing with even more light weight aluminum and high-tech body construction. The Z06 has a standard steel and fiberglass body. To compensate for the added weight from the supercharger, larger wheels and upgraded brakes, the roof is made of carbon-fiber material. Although, the weight distribution is better than that of the Lamborghini Murclielago and the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.

Though the whole ZR1 concept seems to drive infinite without stopping, it is surely does stop from the huge Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes decrease speed as if they were rewinding a tape. So is the ZR1 the best thing besides apple pie? Well, of course not. It really deserves an interior design compatible with a $100,000 car, mainly one without a cheap chevy model’s steering wheel. By having 638 horsepower most who drive it need to try and let it run freely .The all new herculean ZR1 is considered the more beguiling because it is so refined — a quality few people associate with Corvettes. Though not perfect, the ZR1 is the most perfect ’Vette yet, and everyone can get behind that.
