The man isn’t really clear about the motor being the original… The interior is in perfect condition, the car has the original paint but it has faded a bit. Would you pay 5000 for this car? Can you give me some advice before I buy it…

I have a 76 Corvette. I am trying to figure out this issue and maybe someone can help. When I start the car it runs with choke on. Just before the carb opens the motor starts give off light smoke. It seems to be coming from between the exhaust manifold and the engine. The smoke is not heavy nor does it look super white light coolant burning. The smoke usually starts form after running for a minute or two. Any ideas what it could be?
