corvette
Billy M asked:

I have a 1979 C3 corvette and the lights will not go down. I can’t start the car either because I wrapped the engine in plastic so it wouldn’t get dirty from the paint stripper. Is there any way to make those lights pop down without having to start the car, and even when I did start the car they would stay up. Anyone know what to do?

on those pop up lights there is usually a nob right next to it that turns. turning these usually make them go up or down. Try that. There is a manual way of doing wether it be a nob or something else, just look around.

the lights are open because of they are held closed by vacuum. if the vacuum is lost they will stay open. look for a hose off. this will make the car run rough also.

The headlights are vacumm powered so starting the car is the car is the only way to get them back down.
